Sooo

due to lack of things to do (i.e. friends) I found myself incredibly bored today.. And as I recently have been enjoying fishing related activities (goooood gammeldags fesking!!) I decided to make my first fish soup.. And with no further delay, let's just put it out there.. it turned out to be awesome! Listen to Big Boi - Fo Yo Sorrows and just accept that the score is now

La Semana Santa

The Semana Santa in Spain was a peculiar experience. All over town there were these processions with people carrying these heavy, I don't know what they're called, but things.. with statues of Jesus and whatnot. The audience seemed happy, at least the tourists, but the people who participated in the processions seemed a bit sad. And that's why I added this b/w picture in the end here. It didn't fit in with all the previous colorful pictures, hence the long text but I wanted to add it somehow. Hehe, anyway, I think it represents a bit of the depressing atmosphere during the processions.

I ain't hating..

So, not much to report from down south, but I gotta tell you a little story.. I was backing up my car slowly from my parking spot. I stopped, changed the radio channel and Nelly Furtado sang "Manos al aire" or something like that.. Suddenly the airbag hit me in the face, straight outta nothing.. I don't recommend to get an airbag in the face. Not cool. Anyway, I'm just glad it hit me when I was standing still, and not doing 120 on the highway.. Gracias a dios..

Also, as a norwegian, I have been testing out telemark.. and I gotta say.. I'm a natural..

Well that's it for now,

later.

Utgang tel Andenes

So at the Granada bus terminal I saw this sign.. Utgang tel Andenes, eller "Ainnes" which it also is called. Anyway.. I wasn't going to Andenes, I was going to Madrid. Me and a friend took the bus there, which was a five hour ride..

Awesomeness... and a sign that says Daniel.

So, the Suecos or the swedes knows how to promote themselves, no diggity, no doubt. Also, this is supposed to be my artistic contribution from the trip..

Funny thing.. We saw a lot of people wearing funny jackets this particular day...

Turns out China celebrated New Year... Ni hao!

So here we are, waiting for it to start.. Look at the excitement!!! Good times..

This of course was the main event... the game between Atletico Madrid and Barcelona. Holy dæven! 90 minutes of awesomeness.. The game was beautiful, exciting all the way.. Atletico scored the first after 7-8 minutes and the second after 20 something if I'm not mistaking.. Zlatan but Barcelona back in the match with a goal later on.. but Atletico won in the end.. Aleeetiii!

My hotel..

Look, horsy...

A guided tour in my castillo

So, this is pretty much where the magic happens, Jamie Oliver-style. Except, the fuses blew every time I turned on the hot-plate. Anyway, I got a new chemical top, so I'm happy. Unfortunately I took the pictures before the new stuff came so you'll have to settle with this. But trust me.. magic happens!

My lounge, public room, living room, day room. Salon if you will.

Kingsize bed for kings. N'aa mean?

Office to the left in the picture, kitchen, entrance hall. You name it!

Another view of my office, and my salon. Yeah.

As a bonus I have to show something I thought was pretty amazing. And not the how-sweet-kind-of-amazing, but more like how-nasty-and-unhealthy-kind-of-amazing.. Check out the amount of grease six thin slices of bacon are capable of making! Sick!

Where was I?

So... Arriving in Spain after a shitload of hours, we were pretty stoked on spending the night in Barcelona. We drove around, almost blindly following the voice on the GPS trying to find a decent hotel and a place to park. We hit the bullseye on first attempt and found a hotel with this view. All thanks to Mr. Gaudi. I think Gaudi was a pretty awesome guy.

After Barcelona and Mr. Gaudi the drive went on down south. Welcome to fogland.

But when we came further/farther/whatever... More south.. there was an amazing weater. It was hot, it was sun, it was awesome. I even played tennis in my shorts. In january. Sick.

Buuuut as the journey continued, and we got closer to Granada, and thus, higher, we were so lucky to see the snow again. White, wet and yeah... that's pretty much it.

This was one of the highest points on the road (I think) and it was snow, and it was a pretty sign, so I took a picture of it. Yeah, that's what I do, I take pictures of things. Also, this was the last picture before destination so.. there you go.. You're welcome.

More to come!
